Apr 16, Wednesday, 8 pm -- Polyamorous New York SOCIAL & DISCUSSION GROUP
Polyamorous NYC meets at the Lesbian and Gay Community Center and naturally
has a Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trangendered focus within the Polyamorous
community. At the same time, we welcome and encourage membership from
supportive Polyamorous Heterosexuals. We have common ground which needs to
be explored together. The primary requirements for membership are an active
interest in the urban Polyamorous community of New York City and a
supportive view of the Gay community at large.
Meetings are held on third Wednesdays, at 8 pm at the new renovated
location of the Lesbian & Gay Community Center, 208 West 13th Street. Phone
number is the same - 212.620.7310
The location is between 7th and 8th Avenues and is on the same city block
(but opposite side of block) as the Village Den, where we often go for after
meeting dinner. In theory, you could get there taking the 1/9, 2/3 line to
the 14th Street station and never have to cross the Street. In fact the
station itself is marked with a sign that says 'the Gay and Lesbian Community
Center.'
If you are interested in helping or if you have any specific questions
about us, please contact Justen Michael at 212.568.9102.

Apr 22, Tuesday, 7 pm -- Philly Poly SUPPORT GROUP
Time: 7:00 to 9:00 p.m, 4th Tuesday of every month
Place: Bensalem (PA) Public Library (directions below)
Free of charge
No RSVP required
You are invited to attend our gathering for support of issues or concerns that you or others of us may have in our personal practice of polyamory. Have you run into a snag in any of your poly relationships? Are your own emotions on a roller-coaster or conflicted? Do you have an issue that you haven't figured out how to resolve? Not sure where to turn for help, advice, and poly understanding and compassion? Bring your issues as an individual, couple, or larger intimate group.
Even if your poly life is running along smoothly and swimmingly with no glitches, you probably have words of experience and wisdom for those who *are* currently wrestling with an issue, and so your presence is also valuable. At groups of this sort, simply voicing a concern in the group setting often goes a long way toward resolving the difficulty for the person in question. And, if you have no issues this month, you may have something to present for discussion in a future month.
Issues will be discussed one at a time. The meetings will be facilitated by someone trained to facilitate this sort of group (and we anticipate offering the training in the future for others interested; a one-hour training session is adequate). We will use techniques to assure that everyone who wishes to speak has their turn, although of course there will be no pressure to speak beyond what you personally are comfortable with.
Library rules: No snacks or beverages, although bottled water is okay.
No smoking anywhere inside the library.
The library is located in Bensalem, PA, in lower Bucks County, roughly midway
between Philadelphia and Trenton.

All regional poly and poly-friendly folks are invited to gather in the mountains of West Virginia this summer to enjoy the outdoors and have fun together.
Caving trip will feature a special spelunking expedition through Bowden Cave, an excellent non-commercial beginner cave, plus some exciting new adventures this year. Our guide Mike the Caver has indicated he might show us other caves this year!
Camping will be in the commercial Princess Snowbird campground, with tent sites, limited camper hookups, and some cabins available. Polycamp campers must make their own camping arrangements with Princess Snowbird campground.
Poly group activities will be mostly impromptu depending on folks' interests, but will include potluck dinner Saturday evening, and a group campfire gathering.
Other activities can be planned for the weekend including fishing, hiking, horseback riding, scenic drives, and the Seneca Rocks Discovery Center. Also available in the area are rock climbing and canoeing (water permitting).
Directions -- how to get there. Seneca Rocks is about 3 1/2 hours from DC and 7 hours from NYC.
